Over 370 students across Pennsylvania and New York participated in the 2012 Marcellus Shale E-forum.
The poll results are in! After researching their stakeholder positions and discussing their views with their peers, 54% of students felt
that DEP should approve Cobalt’s permit to drill for natural gas.
What students liked MOST about the E-forum:
“Working together with a group to do research. We had some really great discussions, although we sometimes disagreed and people got mad!”
“The option of which side to voice our opinion on, and not being persuaded to choose either side.”
“I liked doing the research and finding out how Marcellus Shale affects my job and my friends’ jobs.”

And last, but not least, the award for the 2012 video contest goes to students from the Connellsville Area Career and Technical Center.
